EL ESTUDIO
Fundado en 2017, Jaque Studio es un taller de arquitectura y diseño, con un enfoque en crear proyectos con identidad de sitio y que contribuyan al tejido urbano y natural en el que se desarrollan.
Dentro del estudio, existe un compromiso en diseñar espacios con alto nivel de confort, creando ambientes y experiencias únicas para el usuario, a través de formas puras, innovación estética y el uso de materiales naturales, que se mimetizan con el contexto inmediato. Creemos, que la arquitectura debe ser fácil de leer, simple y con una conciencia social, natural y económica.
En su corta vida, el estudio ha obtenido reconocimientos y nominaciones importantes. En 2019 la firma fue galardonada con el segundo lugar, en la categoría de Edificación, de los Premios Obras Cemex, y recientemente obtuvo el primer lugar en el rubro de Arquitectura Residencial, de la décima edición de los Premios Noldi Shreck. A nivel internacional, el taller ha sido nominado como finalista para Createurs Design Awards y Dezeen Awards, por mejor diseño en hotelería.
Founded in 2017, Jaque Studio is an architecture workshop with a focus on creating projects that convey a strong identity and enhance the urban and natural fabric.
Within the firm, there is a genuine commitment to creating spaces that provide a unique and comfortable user experience through the pursuit of pure forms, aesthetic innovation, and the use of natural materials that blend with the surrounding context. We believe that architecture should be easy to comprehend, simple, and socially, environmentally, and economically conscious.
The studio has received several awards and nominations. In 2019, it was awarded second place in the Edification category of the Cemex Awards, and most recently, the firm won the first prize in Residential Architecture at the Noldi Schreck Awards. At the international level, the firm has been nominated for the Createurs Design Awards and shortlisted for the Dezeen Awards 2019 in the category of best hospitality design.
JESUS G. ACOSTA MARTÍNEZ
Arquitecto graduado de la Universidad Iberoamericana, Ciudad de México (2010). Tiene una maestría en Medio Ambiente, con especialización en Ciudades y Regiones Sustentables, por la Universidad de Melbourne en Australia (2014).
De 2010 a 2013, formó parte del equipo de JSa Arquitectos, donde estuvo involucrado en el diseño de proyectos residenciales, oficinas y vivienda a nivel nacional. En 2015-2016, colaboró con el arquitecto Juan Carral en JC Arquitectura como director de proyectos, en desarrollos de hotelería y vivienda en el caribe mexicano.
En 2017 fundó Jaque Studio, taller que actualmente dirige, con un enfoque en sustentabilidad arquitectónica y resiliencia urbana. En 2019, fue reconocido con la medalla de plata en la 3º Bienal Nacional de Jóvenes Arquitectos, por la categoría de hotelería.
Architect graduated from Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City (2010). Holds a master’s degree in Environment, with specialization in Sustainable Cities and Regions, from the University of Melbourne of Australia (2014).
From 2010 to 2013, he formed part of the design team of JSa architecture firm in Mexico City. He was involved in the design of housing, office and residential developments throughout Mexico and Latin America. In 2015-2016 he collaborated as team leader with architect Juan Carral at JC Arquitectura, on hospitality and affordable housing projects in the Yucatan Peninsula.
In 2017 he founded Jaque Studio in Tulum, a design firm with a focus on passive design and urban resilience. In 2019 he was awarded the Silver Medal at the 3rd National Biennale for Young Architects in Mexico.
